My digital camera has a "web cam" mode, where the PC can grab images repeatedly standard webcam stylee. Ended up using "SpyCam" on windows (haven't got the camera under PC control on Linux yet, it might only be supported via the USB mass storage (thus not allowing the PC to tell it to take a shot, as the webcam does)).

If I get round to it, I might do a random sample of shots as an archive.

To be perfectly honest, it will be dull most of the time, perhaps even a blank wall. Which, believe it or not, isn't actually yellow, the colour balance may improve in time.
