Got my laptop back today unfixed. At least I didn't have to pay postage. It's odd, I came home to find a "could not deliver" notice, and phoned the company. After some time of wrangling, she conceded that they'd deliver after 12.30 tomorrow. An hour later, it arrived.

There is now a table in the living room covered in laptop parts. I finally got the CD from the drive, and the hard drive is out waiting for me to get an adapter for a standard 3.5" IDE drive.

Unfortunately I only found a decently priced adaptor on ebay. So now I am registered on ebay and paypal. Oh. Dear.
